Dear Eat to Live Member,
As with many food cooperatives across the country, Eat to Live is facing increased competition in the market and decreasing foot traffic, which are impacting the store’s cash flow. We need to take immediate steps to address these challenges.
The board and members need to make some difficult decisions regarding the future of Eat to Live. The board is calling a special membership meeting:
Tuesday, December 19th at 6:00 pm
Eat to Live Coop- 2323 S Salina St, Syracuse, NY 13205
The Board of Directors has some ideas, but more importantly, we need your ideas about making sure the coop stays open. We can weather this storm and create a stronger and more resilient business for our members.
We also want to share some of the changes already underway
The Board of Directors is committed to meeting the cooperative’s challenges. And we look forward to hearing from our members to help identify strategies to ensure the viability of this neighborhood asset. And what products you would like to see in the Coop.
We look forward to seeing all of you on December 19th at 6 pm.

Eat to Live Cooperative Membership Meeting
Dear Eat to Live Coop Member,
On December 31st, the coop temporarily closed its doors. Unfortunately, our sales were not enough to cover our daily costs to continue operating the co-op.
However, the Board of Directors is committed finding a viable business model, finding ways to repurpose the space, and our mission: to provide fresh, healthy food, develop the neighborhood economy, and provide any other benefits to members that members of the co-op choose.
A membership meeting was held on December 13th to discuss revamping the business model. The top suggestions were: coffee shop, fresh produce on designated days, Community Supported Agriculture, and event space.
The date for the next membership meeting is February 23rd at 6 pm at the Co-op
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting on February 23rd at 6 pm to lending your voice and vote on the crucial decisions that need to be made for our co-op.
