1. Minutes Approved

The board minutes for March 12 were corrected and approved.

2. Website

SU IT students Brian Fenno and Michael Kang reported on their work on the website and mobile application. They tracked down the website documentation files and will chose a host to get the site public. The will add capacity for any cell phone to read the site. The will also add an online payment option for membership certificates and a way for people to subscribe to messages from the website. The board discussed with the students a number of other functionalities for the website.

3. Recruiter of General Manager

The board approved offering the job of recruituing the co-ops General Manager to Davine Bey of Global i365. The board needs to draft a job description. Shirley Rowser will send the job description and recruitment template that Davine Bey provided for the board members to send their comments to Shirley by April 3. Shirley will compile the comments and send a summary back to board members by April 5. Howie Hawkins will contact Joseph Bryant and the SU law clinic students regarding the contract with Southside Community Coalition for this service to the co-op. Howie will also notify Davine Bey that the board would like to meet with him about this at the April 9 board meeting.

4. Ten Hardship Memberships

The board needs to know if and when the county Health Department’s deadline is to award these hardship memberships. The board decided each board member could award hardship memberships on a first-come-first-serve basis to people they think cannot afford to buy a membership certificate but who will participate in the co-op.

5. Eat To Live Sign for Construction Fence

Co-op member Margie Gantt suggested that the co-op put a sign on the fence around the store construction site that explains what the co-op is and how to contact the co-op. Howie Hawkins will draft a sign and send it around to the board. He will also get prices.

Respectfully submitted,
Howie Hawkins, Secretary
